Skill share sessions are aimed at students who have reached a certain level at the ongoing workshops. These workshops provide the facilities and equipment for competent makers to develop their work and learn from others within the groups. artworksMK provides skill share in:

This block of 5 masterclasses is aimed at dance practitioners, teachers, and students. Hannah is currently touring with Bedlam Dance Company and has previously worked with a number of choreographers including Shobana Jeyasingh, Ben Wright, Charles Linehan, Laila Diallo and Liz Aggiss. She has also featured as a performer in a number of music videos including James Blunt ‘I Really Want You’ and Mark Ronson ‘Just’.

When: Thursdays 6 – 7.30pm from 3rd June – 1st July 2010

Where: Isham Light Studio, University of Northampton

Cost: £24 / £16 (con) per 5 week block or £6 / £4 per class. (INVP members £20 / £12 (con) per block or £5 / £3 per class)

Do you want to be part of setting up new dance projects in Northamptonshire? Have you got an idea for a project and need someone to do it with? Are you looking for new dance projects to be a part of? Do you want to network with other local dancers?

northantsDance Dance Artists Forum Group is an informal network of local professional dance artists and teachers aiming to provide a much valued opportunity for dancers to meet, share ideas / projects and input into the wider picture of dance in Northamptonshire. We will also start the process of applying for funding as a constituted group for future professional development come along and tell us what training / development opportunities you want.

Thrapston Plaza Opera announces a new production of Bizet’s Carmen for February 2011 to be sung in English.  Local musician Vincent Davy together with a newly formed production team invite singers, actors and dancers to audition on Sunday 6th June, 1pm to 5pm in Thrapston Plaza, Cosy Nook, NN14 4PS. Chorus members and prospective principals are asked to attend the initial sing-along warm up with individual auditions from 2pm.

Weekly rehearsals will begin in early September and the performance dates are booked for 24th, 25th & 26th February.

This exciting new opera project is expected to attract performers from across the county and beyond, providing a wonderful opportunity for both trained and less experienced singers to shine!

We are delighted to launch ENYAN’s National Campaign for 2010/11 ‘Youth Arts Transforms Lives- FACT!’ which is set to demonstrate the power of the arts and its ability to transform lives. This event is the first in a series across the country to launch the campaign, and to spearhead wider understanding for arts as a tool for engagement.

The event will draw together exceptional examples of youth arts projects from across the East Midlands, that have made a real positive difference to the lives of young people, their families and the communities...
