soundDEVELOPMENT is a series of training and professional development events to be delivered by MusicLeader East Midlands.
Creative, collaborative and most of all practical sessions which draw upon real life, real case studies and which allow participants to consider their practice and new opportunities in fresh and distinctive ways…
Who are these for?
Our series is designed for musicians and the wide range of participatory arts practitioners who work with music in any setting or context. The events will provide a rare opportunity to step out of the daily grind and reconnect with personal motivations and employability.

We offer three events in 3 locations across the East Midlands region.

Our events begin at 9.30am and continue until 3.30pm.
There is a £30 charge for events which includes lunch and hospitality.
Sessions will be delivered by a consultant to the creative sector and current MusicLeader East Midlands Programme Manager, James Burkmar.
James has worked in the creative sector for over 25 years as a musician, consultant and facilitator. Enabled by experience gained as a songwriter and touring musician, through working in the community, education and lifelong learning, as a senior manager in the arts and more recently as a business and social enterprise coach and advisor. James will deliver a series of fresh and distinctive sessions aimed at the whole person which will stimulate fresh thinking, ask frighteningly simple questions and allow participants to re-appraise personal ambitions, values and accepted methods of doing things.
