The Mighty Creatives are launching a new opportunity for partners to engage in a bespoke programme of Action Learning. Action Learning involves a small group of peers meeting regularly with a facilitator, to work together on issues or problems they are facing, and to learn and develop at the same time.

If you are:
• Keen to develop your skills
• Passionate to help others learn and develop practice around better outcomes for young people
• Willing to play a key role in supporting individuals and young people to grow

Then this could be the ideal opportunity to expand your skills and help others develop too.

What’s on offer:
• 4 half days of Action Learning Set meetings, facilitated by TMC partner facilitators during the period January 2011 to June 2011

The following TMC set facilitators will be holding sets in these areas:

• Lucy Alcock & Fi Burke – Sets to take place in Nottingham city
• Nettie Scriven & Jen Sumner– Sets to take place in Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border
• Michael Harris & Amy Christer– Sets to take place in Derby city (1st set meeting to take place on Tuesday 11th Jan, 12pm – 4pm, venue tbc)

• Marie Kennedy & Peter Slack – Bespoke MLA set –East of England
• Daisy Edwards & Anneka Masson – Bespoke YP and adults mixed set - Leicester city based
• John Mitchell and Madeleine Coburn – Sets to take place in North Leicestershire – (This set is fully recruited to)

Your Commitment:
• Is to participate in all 4 Action Learning Set meetings (4 half days) during the period January 2011 to June 2011
Set dates (indicative timescale)
• ALS meeting 1 Wk commencing 10 January 2011
• ALS meeting 2 Wk commencing 21 February 2011
• ALS meeting 3 Wk commencing 4 April 2011
• ALS meeting 4 Wk commencing 16 May 2011

We are looking for people who are dedicated to their own learning and development and open to learning new approaches. People who are good listeners, love to see others grow, and passionate about making a difference.

This programme aims to establish 6 new Action Learning Sets in the region, made up of partners from across the young people workforce sector.

The sets will be established to support you and your peers to explore action driven practice around this shared agenda and that of TMC’s core mission: to work towards better outcomes for young people through their engagement, leadership and participation in creative and cultural activities.
